okay so first let say that evanescene is an amazing band because they not only create the almost gothic style of music that and appeal to different audiences but a lot of their musics. their lyrics touch and pull out at lot of hidden human emtions that are constantly inside all of us

so the original song lacrymosa is by mozart so evanescence did their own spin on it. and what a beautiful spin it is.... amy lee's voice so smoothly follows the violins in the back and the band playing makes the song stronger

to me the song is about a relationship doesn't have to be a straight boy girl relationship. but its about how one person had to get out of the relationship to really feel like themselves. A different way to look at things since most people define relationships with someone who completes them.
but i like how the song takes the next step and is about a person willing to take the blame so that they other person can be free. freedom and self sacrifice. not to much of that going around.
